International Understanding Course Series

Multicultural Society and International Cuisine

Okaya International Center will hold a 2-part, 6-session International Understanding Course Series this coming June and July.

Part 1 - "Multicultural Society" 
For the first 3 sessions, we will talk about issues regarding non-Japanese nationals living in Japan. We have invited guest speakers from China, Brazil and Korea. Discussions will focus on how to live peacefully in a multicultural environment and how Japanese people can adjust to the growing number of foreign residents in the community.

The last three sessions will showcase three food culture: Jewish-American, Indian and Filipino.
